Spreading Smiles at Crewe Heritage Centre

Back in August, Smiles to Come CIC made a meaningful impact at the Crewe Heritage Centre during the Summer Festival of Fun, creating joyful experiences for children and families in our community. Through this visit, we were able to engage young people in a fun, welcoming environment that encouraged curiosity, learning, and connection.

During the event, we provided goody bags and a fun history quiz, helping little explorers learn about local history while creating happy memories. Activities like this play an important role in supporting children’s wellbeing, confidence, and sense of belonging within the community.

One of the most rewarding outcomes of the day was seeing the excitement and smiles on children’s faces as they took part in the activities and explored the site. Families shared how much they valued having free, accessible events where children can learn and enjoy time together during the school holidays.

We are incredibly grateful to Crewe Heritage Centre for hosting us and providing such a fantastic space for families to explore, including the Crewe at War Exhibition, signal boxes, and model railways. Our thanks also go to Crewe Town Council and everyone involved in making the festival such a success.

The success of this event shows what can be achieved when communities work together. With continued support, we can keep spreading smiles and creating positive experiences for children and families.

Smiles to Come CIC — making a difference, one smile at a time.
